Just after daybreak, Jesus stood on the beach; but the disciples didn’t know it was Jesus … (John 27:4)
When I’m down at Sandy Bay or Childers Cove, I feel free and happy. Even if there are howling winds, I feel a sense of peace and calmness. It’s like all my worries wash away.
I love running around and cleaning up the beach. I feel really connected to, if not God, then love, joy and peace. It’s a place that to me has not only my memories but thousands of other memories.
Even the natural river that flows is so calm, even though it’s swiftly moving it hides it. There is so much indescribable beauty about the place. It makes you feel free and loving and joyful. Ω
