You shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvellously made! (Psalm 139:13, MSG)
So this is my first time making a Lent Story. God is the spirit which helps a lot of people at the same time. Most of you would know me well. I am great at video games and that’s what I’m natural at. In this story, I was quite wise and knew what was right. I needed to follow my dreams and that. I like to be free. I want to have the privileges/rights everybody else my age has. But I am not allowed to make my Youtube videos public, I am not allowed to walk down the street by myself, I don’t really get to choose what my life is like, I didn’t often get to play after school and etc. But it’s not that bad and my life is quite good.
In the holidays, I didn’t get to have a playdate that we were going to have. (It seems like it always happens and it makes me annoyed). But at least my Mum tried very hard. But at least in the holidays, it was great. Christmas was fun. We also had a camp with some people and went to the beach. Anyway, when school was back, I was in high school. Getting ready for school was also a rush and stress. I didn’t get time to bring my organiser and that. Anyway, when school went back on, I remembered that I was definitely not designed for school. But I have perseverance and ambition though.
Everybody has a bright future that God helped make for them as they were born. God will help you and will always be there for everybody. Ω
Reflect: What are you natural at? What do you feel you’re not designed for? Name these things before God, give thanks that you are known, and pray for help in the difficult things you need to do.
What is this? Lent is the 40 days, excluding Sundays, before Easter. Traditionally it is a time of intense reflection and pilgrimage. To help you on this journey, Sanctuary has put together 40 stories from people both within and beyond the congregation, with associated questions for reflection and prayer. A reading will be uploaded every day of Lent.
