Jesus said to them, ‘Strive to enter through the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able.’ (Luke 13:24)
Where is this narrow door?
Is your door my door?
Is there one for each or one for all?
Is the point the door,
or what’s beyond it?
Or before!
Or something more?
When I come to it, do I knock?
Do I wait, or test the lock?
Will it automatically slide open when it senses my presence?
Imagine if it just stayed blocked!
Will I know it when I see it?
If it’s about who we are, will I be it?
If it’s about living my life as You see fit,
How much does grace grease the hinges?
Maybe it’s best to ask You to meet me out the front,
So we can walk through it together.
